Michael “Micky” Finamore, Sr., of Nashua, New Hampshire, and formerly of Winthrop, Massachusetts, passed away after a short illness on December 11th, 2025, at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Winthrop, MA, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Ferullo) Finamore. He was the devoted father of Lisa (Finamore) Bartlett of Derry, NH; Michael Finamore, Jr. of Nashua, NH; and the late David Finamore of Beverly, MA; brother of Susanna Finamore and Marge (Finamore) DiMento; and proud grandfather of Timothy Bartlett of Fresno, CA; Daniel and Jonathan Bartlett of Derry, NH; Ethan Finamore of Nashua, NH; and Cassandra and Harrison Finamore of Beverly, MA. He is also survived by his children-in-law, Larry Bartlett, Teresa Finamore, and Michelle (Carito) Finamore.
Michael’s life was defined by hard work, generosity, and an unwavering willingness to put the needs of others before his own. He had a natural gift for connecting with people and enjoyed striking up conversations with anyone, oftentimes complete strangers, on many different subjects. He was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, and was always there to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. Those qualities formed the basis of many deep, long-lasting friendships throughout his life.
Michael also shared many years and a lifelong friendship with his former wife, Catherine Paula Finamore of Derry, NH. Though divorced, they remained good friends and were an important part of each other’s lives.
For many years, Michael worked at Sanders and Associates in Nashua, NH, where he served as a manager in their graphics art department. While working full time and determined to provide a better future for his family, he attended Suffolk University at night, earning his MBA in finance. In the late 1980s, he followed his entrepreneurial spirit and opened a computer sales, service, and repair business, with his sons assisting during their college breaks.
Michael loved the outdoors. In his younger years, he could be found deep in the brush and woods, deer hunting in Jackman Maine and northern NH with his longtime hunting buddies. Summers were devoted to adventures with his family along the New England Seacoast - vacationing with his family in Biddeford, Maine, and taking them fishing, clamming, and periwinkle hunting, walking the boardwalk and going to the amusement park at Old Orchard Beach, and clamming together in Seabrook, New Hampshire.
Michael will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his kindness, humor, and the many lives he touched.
