Michael Leonard Finlayson, 74, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Lida Elliott Osborn Finlayson entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Michael was born June 20, 1951, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, son of the late Harold Finlayson and the late Elizabeth Mason. A Recording Engineer and Media Producer, he found great joy in playing the drums, attending local live music events, and reveling in the atmosphere of concerts. His passion for the arts extended to film; he enjoyed going on video shoots and mastering the art of editing, creating lasting memories through visual storytelling.
A devoted husband, he leaves behind his beloved wife, Lida Elliott Finlayson. Michael is also survived by his son, Matthew Harold Finlayson, and daughter-in-law, Olivia Coen, who brought him immense joy. He is further survived by his siblings, Gay Finlayson of New Mexico and Terry Finlayson of Oregon, and his stepmother, Anne Finlayson of Virginia.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
