In Loving Memory of Michael Patrick Finnegan

November 16, 1955 – October 2, 2025

Michael Patrick Finnegan, lovingly known as Mike, passed away suddenly at home on the morning of Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the age of 69.

Born in Orlando, Florida, on November 16, 1955, Mike spent his early years traveling across the United States and England as part of a military family. Eventually, he returned to his hometown of Orlando, where he married and raised two children alongside his beloved wife, Karen (Linville) Finnegan.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Blanche Finnegan, and his brother, Shawn Finnegan. He is survived by his devoted wife Karen; his daughter Shannon Browne and her husband Gregory; his son Evan Finnegan; his cherished grandson Keagan Browne; and his sister Livona Stitt and her Husband Ricky. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins across the country, all of whom he held close in his heart.

For many years, Mike worked as an overnight warehouse manager at Winn-Dixie. Later, he transitioned into other roles that allowed him more time with his children, a priority he deeply valued.

Mike was a passionate bowler until an injury sidelined his active play. Even so, he remained a dedicated member of the bowling community by volunteering at youth and adult tournaments. Off the lanes, he enjoyed poker nights with friends, playing chess, and collecting unique chess boards from around the world.

A true sports enthusiast, Mike never missed a chance to cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers or his Florida State Seminoles. One of his most treasured memories was visiting Heinz Field in Pittsburgh during a trip to connect with extended family.

In 2018, Mike received the life-changing gift of a liver transplant on February 15-a second chance that brought him renewed strength and more precious time with those he loved, especially his grandson. His family remains eternally grateful to the donor family who, in their grief, chose to give the gift of life.

A memorial service will be held at North Brevard Funeral Home, 1450 Norwood Ave, Titusville, FL 32796, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM. A come-and-go reception will follow at the home of Shannon Browne.

Mike will be remembered for his warm heart, his sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. His presence in our lives was a blessing, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
