Michael Raymond "Mike" Finup

Lakeview-Michael "Mike" Raymond Finup, age 55, of Coral passed away at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids on Sunday, August 13, 2023. He was born in Lakeview on June 3, 1968, and graduated from Lakeview High School with the Class of 1986. Mike was a hard worker. Throughout the years he was employed as an aerial applicator, at the sawmill in Coral and for the past five years by Ice Mountain in Stanwood. Mike had a passion for hunting, fishing and trapping. He loved all sports, collecting pudding stones, and was a rather impressive gardener.
Mike will forever be missed and is survived by his parents, Delbert and Hazel (Bush) Finup of Lakeview; sons, Raymond (Shelbi) Finup, Ryan (Cassidy Fisk) Finup, Ryily Finup and his mother, Emily Bristol; grandson, Wyatt Fisk; sister, Elmirinda (Mark) Baker; brothers, Mark (Debbie) Finup, Jon Finup, Tim (Julie) Finup, and Steve (Kimberly) Finup.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Verna Bush; 2 aunts, Rachel Welch, Beatrice Gale; 4 uncles, Robert Gale, James, Leslie and Vernon Male; and a nephew, Nicholas Giuliano.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lakeview with Pastor Alex Sable officiating. Interment will be in Cato Township Cemetery.
