Michael Fitzpatrick, 62, of Horsham, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at his home on January 9, 2026, following his diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in July. He was born on June 4, 1963, and grew up in Warminster, PA.
Mike attended Archbishop Wood High School, where he excelled in wrestling and football, earning the nickname “Mad Dog”. He first attended Kutztown University, where he met his wife, Holly, and later graduated from Delaware Valley University. He had a long career in information technology, including time with Prudential, The Hartford, Optum, and most recently Computer Aid, Inc.
He loved vacationing in Wildwood, watching the Phillies, Eagles, and Villanova basketball, and spending time with his family. Mike took great pride in coaching and supporting his children in sports and cherished moments with his grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Holly Fitzpatrick; his mother, Anna Fitzpatrick; his sister, Linda Fitzpatrick; his brother, Kevin Fitzpatrick; his daughter, Nicole Mergard, and her husband DJ Mergard, and his grandsons Nash and Wyatt; and his sons, Michael Fitzpatrick and Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Ryan’s wife, Lauren Fitzpatrick. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Fitzpatrick, and his brother, Joe Fitzpatrick.
Mike will be remembered for his love of family, sports, and life, and for the pride he took in the accomplishments of those he loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, January 19 (MLK Day) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Mass from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA 19044. A luncheon will follow at a location to be announced.
