Michael James Freyman

Michael James Freyman, 72, of Catasauqua, passed away on November 18th, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg, surrounded by his family.
Born July 31st, 1953, he was the son of the late Earl A. Jr. and Patricia (Souders) Freyman. Mike was a 1972 graduate of Catasauqua High School.
In his youth and early twenties, he worked with his father and brothers at E.A. Freyman & Sons, the family's general contracting business. He later spent 39 years with the Private Industry Council, retiring in 2016 as their IT Director. Alongside his full-time career, he also ran Captured Dreams Photo and Video, photographing weddings throughout the Lehigh Valley.
Mike loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and riding motorcycles. He was happiest with a metal detector in his hand or watching an old western.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jodi L. (Kern) Freyman; his children, Josh A. Freyman and Tricia J. Armbuster; and his grandson, Ethan M. Armbuster, all of Catasauqua.
He is also survived by his brothers Steven H. Freyman (Bonnie), Christopher A. Freyman (Lori), and Mathew J. Freyman; his sister Tina Smith, wife of the late Ralph Smith; his brothers- and sister-in-law Tod R. Kern, Troy D. Kern (Michelle), and Tara N. Drayer, wife of Roger Drayer; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers John H. Freyman and Earl A. Freyman III; and his nephew Earl Freyman IV.
A private service will be held for immediate family.
