Thomas J. Tassi Sr.

Thomas J. Tassi, 77, of North Catasauqua, died peacefully at home, Friday, January 2, 2026. He was the husband of Monica A. (Patchinka) Tassi. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Nelson J. and Helen (Chabak) Tassi.
Tom was a Catasauqua High School graduate and worked as an Iron Worker with Local 36 in the Lehigh Valley for many years before retiring. He was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church of North Catasauqua. Tom served his country as a US Army veteran of the Vietnam era.
Surviving along with his wife Monica, are his grandchildren Derrick Russell, Giana and Cecelia Winkelbauer and Jakob Tassi, sisters Rose Marie Bear, Marguerite Heffner, Elaine Bartholomew, Annette Williams, wife of Bill, Kathy Helffrich, wife of Donald, and Susie Apostolico and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tara A. Winkelbauer, son Thomas 'T. J.' Tassi, Jr., brothers Nelson and Vincent and sister Rita.
A calling period will be held from 10-11am Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, PA. 18032. A memorial service will follow at 11am, Saturday in the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Cemetery in Northampton.
