Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home - Worcester on Feb. 1, 2026.
WORCESTER___Michael Gino Scampini, 55, son of the late Norman and Joanne Scampini of Worcester, passed away tragically and unexpectedly Friday, January 30, 2026, in his home.

He leaves 6 siblings, Debra DiGregorio of Worcester; Joanne "Jodi" Largesse of Vermont; Joseph Scampini of Worcester; Sandy Stapinski of Worcester; Doreen Friend of Worcester and Brenda Page of Worcester. He leaves many brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law. 22 Loving Nieces and Nephews and 24 great – Nieces and great – Nephews (He often made-up nicknames for them all) He also leaves behind his beloved cat Bella and Family dog Sadie.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kristine Carlson – Scampini, two Beautiful sisters, Linda Vivlamore and Patricia Scampini. His best Friend Ryan Aukstikalnis and his cherished dog, Axl-Rose.

Michael worked for Cure's Furniture for years and then owned his own business, " Scampini Moving Services ".

He was a gentle giant with a big heart. He enjoyed singing to his favorite rock bands, like "Guns N' Roses" and "Alice in Chains". Watching Jeopardy with his Mom. Playing Left – Right – Center with the entire family at his Parents' kitchen table. Together with his loving wife Kristine, he cherished moments watching numerous TV shows, and among their cherished shows, Sons of Anarchy was one of their favorites. Mike was a very intelligent man; there wasn't much he didn't know. We always said he was a book of knowledge ( and some useless knowledge). He was the real life Kramer, with any conversation, there was bound to be a quote from Seinfeld thrown in the mix "Gidddddy-up"

Michael enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees and the Boston Bruins. He had a sweet tooth and was known to always have stock in Charms Blow Pops or Tootsie Pops. Mike had quite the sense of humor and always made us laugh. His laughter was infectious and we are all going to miss hearing it.

We love you Mike and will miss you dearly…
