Michael George Gallegly, age 74 of Bessemer, went to his heavenly home on November 10, 2025. Michael was born December 6, 1950 to the late William Andrew and Rhoda Blanch Robertson Gallegly. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen Stephens Gallegly; his daughter, Lori Dabbs (Jeff) and two grandchildren; Noel Dabbs (Brittany) and Ian Dabbs (Bayleigh).
Mr. Gallegly retired after many years as a maintenance mechanic with US Steel. He loved his family and always put them first. He enjoyed reading, working on his computer and woodworking; he was also a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
Graveside Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, 1498 5th Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Al 35127, beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research or The America Cancer Society.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to Southern Care Beacon Hospice for their excellent care, kindness and support during Michael's illness.
