Michael S. Geha, 84, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Elliott Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with heart failure and cancer.
Born on November 18, 1940, in Lebanon, Michael was the son of the late Saeed Geha of Darb El Seim, Lebanon, and Lucie (Rose) Geha of Waterville, Maine. For 14 years, he worked in Saudi Arabia, traveling between there and Lebanon to support his family and build a better future.
In 1988, Michael immigrated to the United States, first settling in California. A year later, he brought his family from Lebanon to join him in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where he began working as a computer technician by day and at Bishop's Restaurant by night. His dedication and love for people led him to open the Phoenician Restaurant in Salem, New Hampshire, and later Michael's Function Hall in Haverhill, where his legacy of hospitality and generosity continues.
Michael will be remembered as a man of deep faith, humility, and devotion to his family. He faced every challenge with courage and grace, and his kindness touched all who knew him. Michael's warmth, resilience and generous spirit touched all who knew him. His memory will live on through the love he shared, the family he raised, the business he built, and the lives he quietly and humbly impacted every single day.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Bassima (El-Achi) Geha; his children Hicham and his wife Lindsey Geha, Bassam Geha, Marierose and her husband George Korbani, Micheline and her husband Aaron Majka; his siblings Samih Geha, Leila Elkoury, and Helen Zarour; and his cherished 13 grandchildren Kristen, Jason, Stephanie, Michelle, Carson, Angelina, Giuliana, Austin, Brandon, Dylan, Michael, Jacob, and Ellena, as well as many nieces and nephews in the U.S., Lebanon, and California.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday October 15, 2025 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street,
Methuen, MA. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday October 16, 2025 at 11:00AM at St. Anthony's Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Michael's memory. Proceeds will be shared between St. Anthony's Maronite Church of Lawrence, Massachusetts, and the family's home parish in Dar El Seim, Lebanon, in honor of his faith, heritage, and the communities he loved.
