I am so saddened to see that Mike passed on. I am sorry for your loss. Michael was my step-brother for many years when my father, John Mallette, was married to Judy. Mike and I got along great. I always enjoyed his company. I pray that your pain gets easier as time goes on.

I worked at Menards with Mike for 2 1/2 years as a junior and senior in high school when I wasn't sure if I wanted to go to college or stay home and work Mike encouraged me to get out of Menards and go to school so in August 2012, I quit and now I'm a sophomore at ISU. I wasn't there very long but for some reason he had a big impact on the decision I made to go to college. I always said when I came home for break I would stop in and see how everything was going and tell him about school and I wish I would've stuck to that and let him know that he helped me make one of the best decisions of my life. He was kind, and caring to everyone at work and I couldn't have asked for a better boss. I'm so sorry for everything. Your family is in my thoughts.

Count the garden by the flowers, never by the leaves that fall. Count your life with smiles and not the tears that roll.
