Michael Gray, age 70, of Fombell, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving wife and family, on July 7, 2025. Born on June 26, 1955, in Chicago, IL he was the cherished son of the late William and Beatrice Gray Sr., and Elizabeth and Robert Sloppy.
Mike was a dedicated member of the New Galilee Church of the Nazarene. He had a successful career as a controls engineer at Xylem/Leopold in Zelienople, where his expertise made a lasting impact. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, and traveling in his RV, where he cherished time spent with his beloved wife, Jacque, creating memories together.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Jacque Gray, whom he married on July 25, 1975. He is also survived by his daughter, Alicia (Aaron) Long, and son, Mike (Julie) Gray. He will be deeply missed by his brother, Robert (Brenda) Sloppy, and sister, Bobbi Jo (Richard) Lapishka, along with his three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sisters, Charlotte Pflugh, Virginia McCanna, and Yvone Schmidt; and brothers, William Gray Jr., Patrick Dwyer, and Shawn Sloppy.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the New Galilee Community Event Center, 606 Centennial Ave., New Galilee, PA 16141, where family and friends will gather to honor Mike's life, and the many ways he touched the hearts of those around him.
In memory of Mike, donations can be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Attn: Development Office, 134 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA 16023.
His legacy of love and adventure will be remembered by all who knew him.
