Michael Greco Obituary
MICHAEL V. of Philadelphia, PA, the Olney section, originally from East Falls on Calumet Street passed away peacefully at age 94 on April 20, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Eleanor (nee Holp). He is also survived by his 4 beloved children, Eileen (Laporte, Thomas A.), Michael J., Janet (Rorer, John), and Stephen (Barbara). He was a proud Pop-pop of 8 grandchildren Melissa (Koepke, Jonathan), Stephen, Kimberly (Purr, Louis), Nicholas (Dana), Leanne, Thomas J., Brianna (Lafty, Josh), and Michael; and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony (Joan), and his 2 sisters, Helen Yoast and Joanne, as well as many nieces and nephews. Michael was pre-deceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Josephine (nee Badame), 2 sisters and their spouses, Mary Sciarillo (Francis) and Agnes DiCola (Thomas), as well as brother-in-law, Howard Yoast. He enjoyed being surrounded by loved ones and spending quality time with family. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a long-time Boeing Helicopter employee. Due to the current pandemic, a small memorial service will be held at Slabinski Funeral Home for family members, and in an effort to keep everyone safe, we are planning a celebration of Mike's life in the future. Sorry to hear of Uncle Mike's passing. You looked so much like my mom in your older years. Will remember the earlier years and so many Thanksgiving holidays together, 4th of July picnics, family day at Boeing and Sunday dinners on Calumet.
Love to Aunt Eleanor, and especially Eileen, Michael, Janet & Stephen. It's so very hard to lose our parents no matter how old they are.

Hi Dad: Life will not be the same without you. You were always there for me. I will miss your excited smile everytime you saw me. I will also miss all your childhood stories and reminiscing about what fun you had growing up in East Falls. You were the best dad ever!!!!! always making sure everyone was happy and safe. I lost my Pop-pop, and my family lost an incredible patriarch. I believe he enjoyed his almost 95 years here, and I definitely enjoyed his incomparable company, spirit, stories, humor, and love during the 28+ years he was in my life. I will miss him greatly, but I am thankful to have such wonderful memories.
