Michael L. Grigson

Michael Lynn Grigson, 73, left this earth on April 5th, 2025 in Colorado Springs, Colorado while in the care of Pikes Peak Hospice at Penrose Hospital. The cause of death was metabolic encephalopathy; initially he arrived at the hospital by ambulance from a fall that resulted in a fractured femur and snowballed from there. His life began in Texarkana, Arkansas on January 31st, 1952, the youngest of five children. Parents Morris and Edna Grigson moved Michael and the family to Pasadena, Texas where he later met his wife, Barbara Ann Kovach, his senior year of high school, 1973, and married on May 31st, 1975.
Michael and Barbara had two children, the oldest, Joseph Michael, on December 5th, 1978 and the younger, Lisa Marie, on March 2nd, 1984. Michael moved his family from Texas to Florissant, Colorado in 1995. Where he and Barbara continued to live until his admission to the hospital.
Michael was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter Lisa; granddaughter's Gianna and Willow; grandson Joshua; and great granddaughter Londynn and great grandson Cassius.
Michael was a jokester, he loved to make people laugh and enjoyed taking his family out to eat. He was his daughter's softball coach for many years and taught so many to never use the word "can't"." Michael wanted for his family what he never had growing up and he was always there for them no matter the circumstance. He will live on in their loving memories.
Michael was cremated by All States Cremation and his ashes will reside at the columbarium at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Colorado Springs, Colorado.
