Michael Grimes Obituary
Michael Grimes, age 60 of Gatesville, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Scott’s Funeral Home.
Michael Raymond Grimes was born June 21, 1964 to the late Raymond and Peggy Hopkins Grimes in Bristol, Pennsylvania. He grew up and attended school in Levittown, Pennsylvania, moving to Gatesville with his family in 1981. He worked in construction most of his life, assisting with many projects, including the construction of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Alfred D. Hughes Unit. Michael was an avid mechanic who enjoyed working on and maintaining cars for his friends and family. He also loved to fish and often went “noodling” with his buddies.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by sisters, Diane Ristagno and husband, Vince, and Susan Herring and husband, Leon; brother, Danny Grimes and girlfriend, Karyn; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
