Michael L. Groff

Michael L. Groff, Sr., age 81, of Seven Valleys, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:59pm. He was the husband of Judy L. (Fleck) Groff, whom he married on February 25, 1991.
Michael was the beloved son of the late Floyd and Emma Jane (Dellinger) Groff. A man of many talents, Michael had a remarkable gift for working on cars. He owned and operated the former Stoneybrook Garage, where his mechanical expertise earned him respect in the community. Later in his career, he transitioned to outside sales with Reynolds and Whitcomb, where he eventually retired after many years of dedicated service.
Michael enjoyed barrel riding, throwing horseshoes, but most importantly, he cherished his time spent with his family. He adored his grandchildren, treasuring every moment spent with them, and his love for animals further reflected his kind and caring nature. However, his greatest source of pride and happiness was his devoted wife, Judy.
Besides his wife, Michael leaves his children, Michael L. Groff, Jr. and wife, Amy of Manchester, Timothy W. Groff and wife, Stacey of Wrightsville, Melissa J. Groff of York, Dwight N. Sprenkle, Jr. and wife, Lori of Dallastown, Brendan J. Sprenkle and wife, Jill of Red Lion, Jami E. Silar and husband, Bret of Wrightsville, his 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as his brother, Paul F. Groff and wife, Stephanie of York. He leaves many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest and Butch Groff.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
