To Family and Friends of Mike,
I was saddened when learning of Mike´s passing on Easter Sunday. We were good friends even though our career paths went in different directions after high school.
Mike and I first met in late summer of 1966, when we both moved into the Columbia school system (we were in the same homeroom) throughout the 8th grade.
The summer of 1967 was an exciting one for us! I would ride my bike over to his house nearly every day. Played lots of baseball, basketball, and camping out by his pond! There were a group of us (boys) that just had lots of fun together, including the baseball game versus my old friends from Elyria, that his dad (Don) and my dad drove us to at Elyria West Park.
In later years, when Mike was in Dental School at Ohio State, I would periodically meet up with Mike in Columbus for dinner (my job from Louisville included the eastern side of Ohio working on loan programs with farmer cooperatives such as Landmark and Ohio Farmers). It was so nice to meet up with Mike when I could.
He was a true friend to me, and I will always remember our good times together! RIP my good friend!
