Michael Hamilton

Michael Hamilton, age 67 of Fairborn, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 14, 2023. He was born November 3, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Floyd Hamilton and Sarah Lee Williams.
Michael served his country proudly in the US Navy, retiring in 1997 at the rank of SKC; and followed with employment in civil service, retiring after several years of federal service.
Family was an integral part of Michael and his wife, Denise's life. He was a quiet individual but to those who knew and loved him Michael's character spoke loudly. He was an avid sports fan, film lover, and enjoyed listening to music. In addition, Michael appreciated the outdoors.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Stephen (Zeneta) Hamilton; and brother-in-law, Clarence (Ellen Hamilton) Gore. He is survived by his wife of 47 years with dating 5 years prior to marriage, Denise Hamilton; four children, Hakim, Karon, Khamilah, Michael ; eight grandchildren, Cheyenne, Mia, Nidaya, Ajah, Nadena, Jada, Brianna, Soneya; siblings, Beverly Knox, Barry (Elaine) Williams, Larry Williams, Paul Hamilton, Jeffrey Hamilton, Ellen Hamilton-Gore, as well as extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor J.D. Dukes officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service. Burial with military honors to follow at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third St., Dayton, OH 45428.
