Michael Spencer Hash, aged 40, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
Through all the trials, Spencer always managed to crack a smile or joke. He had many roles in life and loved his family and friends dearly. He always shared an abundance of memes to all his loved ones, which is one of the many ways he shared his sense of humor. Spencer also loved to fish which was like a second nature to him.
He was preceded in rest by his grandparents Robert "Bob" and Bessie Hash, and uncle Tony Hash.
Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife Jessica Hash, daughter Ava Hash, sons Daniel and Jack, parents Arnold and Anna Hash, brother James (Jennifer) Hash, sister Tessa Laws, special aunt Rhonda Mize, as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who cherished him.
Spencer's legacy of kindness, laughter and his warm, rambunctious spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justin Warwick officiating. Music will be provided by the Warwick family.
Graveside services will immediately follow at the Mountainview Cemetery in Harrogate, TN.
Pallbearers will be James Hash, Zach Hash, Jonathan Martin, Tyler May, Josh Mize and Chuck Pickles.
Loving letters from his children:
"When I got to meet him, I'd never been so happy in life, and I never knew the first hug I was ever going to give him would be the last hug I got to give him. Yes, I miss him, but I miss what I'm never going to have. I love him, I always will." – Ava (Daughter)
"Mom always had to get on to us like she had 3 kids instead of 2. He wasn't just our Dad, he was our best friend and our superman. I never thought the last time we played the game together it was our last. I'd give anything to play one more round, or go one more lap driving the golf cart, or catch one more fish with him. He taught us a lot but a whole lot about fishing – it was his favorite. Every time we saw a fishing spot, he'd make us pull over and jump out to check it out. We are going to miss you ole' Dude. Life's not the same without him." – Daniel & Jack (Sons)
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Green Hills Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
