Wilma Rector of Harrogate, Tennessee, went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 12, 2025.
She was born on October 23, 1934, the daughter of Mary Minton Tennyson and Clifford O. Tennyson.
Wilma was a devoted member of Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church in
Middlesboro, Kentucky, where she had been an active and faithful member since 1952. Over the years, she served as a Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Training Union teacher, as well as a choir member. She also served as chairman of the nursery department and bereavement committee for many years, and as a GA, YWA, and youth leader.
She was the first president of the West End School PTO and a former member of the Middlesboro Junior Women's Club.
Wilma was employed by Commercial Bank in Middlesboro and Harrogate for 32 years, serving as Vice President at the Middlesboro branch. She was also the first Vice President and Cashier of Commercial Bank of Harrogate and the first Secretary of the Board of Directors.
Wilma loved cooking, especially baking, and found great joy in sharing meals with her family and friends. She enjoyed taking meals to shut-ins, hosting family gatherings, and opening her home for many church activities. Her greatest joy was spending time at home with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Rector; daughters, Alicia Metcalf (husband Steve) and Beth Minton (husband Emery Minton, Jr.); grandchildren, Joshua Metcalf (wife Jill), Jeremy Metcalf (wife Ruth), Jonathan Metcalf, Meghan Patterson (husband Jacob), Laura Hounshell (husband Reggie), and Trae Minton (wife Abigail); and great-grandchildren, Miles Metcalf, Isla Rose Metcalf, Charlie Metcalf, Reaghan Patterson, Adalyn Hounshell, Brooklyn Hounshell, Emersyn Minton, and Traeson Minton.
She is also survived by her sisters, Lana Hill (husband Jesse) and Julie Tennyson (husband Scott); brother, Alfred Tennyson (wife Lisa); sister-in-law, Cheryl Tennyson; stepmother, Pat Tennyson; a host of nieces and nephews; and her long-time special friend, Nadean Meredith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Myrna Denny (husband Don); and brother, Albert Tennyson.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Josh Metcalf, Jeremy Metcalf, Jonathan Metcalf, Trae Minton, Reggie Hounshell, and Jacob Patterson.
Honorary Pallbearers are Marcum Brogan and Tommy Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside Services will immediately follow at the Harrogate Cemetery, Harrogate, Tennessee.
