Michael O'Dell Henry, Sr.

Michael O'Dell Henry, Sr., 70, McKeesport and Sneads Ferry, NC, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was born April 11, 1954 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Richard J. Henry, III. and the late Dorothy Mae (Baker) Henry. Michael worked for The Allegheny Port Authority for over 30 years and finished his tenure as an instructor when he retired. He was a man of strong faith and a devout Christian, who enjoyed reading his bible regularly and spreading and teaching the word of God. He also enjoyed driving very fast in his many vehicles over the years, including his Corvettes, Vipers and motorcycles. He was a very hard working man, who loved his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Darlene R. (Miller) Henry; his children, Danielle Henry, Michael O'Dell Henry Jr., and Stacy Boyce; grandchildren, Michael Henry III., Christian Mackey, Deon Boyce, Jr., Trae Boyce and Troy Boyce; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharryl Henry-Kokoska; brother, Keith Henry; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Carlos Napper, Jr., who passed away in 2007; his siblings, John Henry, Audrey Hamlin, Linda Henry, Richard Henry IV, Kevin Henry and Darryl Henry; and his beloved dogs, Coco and Mocha.
