Michael Hiter Obituary
Michael was born on August 28, 1964, in Indianapolis IN to the late Mr. Joe Hiter and the late Mrs.
Dorothy Mae Bell and was a loved bonus son to Ms. Juanita Reynolds.
Mike attended Woodham High School and grew up in the beautiful community of Truman Arms where we were family. He was known for his beautiful and charming good looks and personality which enabled him to connect with people from all walks of life. Overcoming his personal battle with addiction, Mike remained clean for over 30 plus years and served our community admirably as a respected Lawn Maintenance Technician and Scrap Metal Recycler. His warm smile, extremely kind heart, and loyal dedication to his family and friends will be deeply missed.
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved Father and Mother Joe Hiter and Dorothy Mae Bell, Grandfather and
Grandmother Jessie and Etta Mae Bell, siblings; Sandra and Tony Washington, and Frank and James Woodson Sr.
Mike's memory will be cherished by his brother Kenny Hiter, his favorite cousin Dr. Angel McShan, his devoted nephew
Retired CSM James Woodson Jr., his very special friend Ms. Mary, his bonus brother AJ Smith, his beloved children,
Mineika Hiter, Jamera McBride-Hiter, Michael Hiter Jr.
Jasmine Wiggins, and McCourtney Hiter. He cherished 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of family
members, friends, clients and neighbors.

One of my fondest memory of Michael Lamont Hiter Sr. It was a Father's Day weekend. I asked Michael, what he was doing on that day? He replied, "Nothing I really don't celebrate birthdays or holidays and besides no one ever given me anything for Father's Day. That broke my heart and I decided how I was going to make sure Michael was celebrated!
He definitely has bragging rights when it came to his Fishing Talent. He shared a photo of him holding these huge fishes. At that moment, I knew what I was giving him for Father's Day. I had Michael's photo and the photo of him holding the fishes put on a coffee mug, something he'll always treasured. He was so happy when I presented it to him. He loves it so much, he wouldn't drink out of it. He said, he didn't want to take a chance in breaking it. From that moment, Michael received his first Father's Days gift and I'm so thankful and blessed I shared it with him. Memories of that is priceless. Attached are the photos on Michael's coffee mug.
