Michael F Hogan Sr

Hogan Michael F., Sr. March 4, 1940 - Nov. 15, 2025 Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend, passed away peacefully at this home in West Chester, PA, on November 15, 2025, at the age of 85. Mike was a Hawk, through and through, graduating from the Prep in 1957 and, after a stint in the Army, from St. Joseph's College in 1963. After graduating from Hawk Hill with a host of lifelong friends and too many memories to count from following the men's basketball team around the country (The Hawk will never die!), Mike embarked on a lengthy career in radio and media advertising sales. During his career, he ended up working with or for each of the four professional sports teams in Philadelphia and for WIP when it first started with sports talk radio, mentoring many salespeople along the way. He was very proud about that. Mike, born in 1940, was one of four sons born to Austin and Alice Hogan and grew up in Mayfair (St. Matthews Parish). The bombastic sounds of laughter from the Brothers Hogan at family gatherings large and small still ring in the ears of friends and family and bring smiles to this day. Mike truly loved his brothers. After his family, his friends, and his Hawks, Mike loved all Philadelphia sports teams, a love which he passed on to his sons. Mike is survived by his wife, Suzi (Schad), his son, Michael, Jr., his son, Christopher, his daughter-in-law, Melissa, his brother, Joe (Mary Clare), and his beloved grandchildren, Will and Abbie. In lieu of flowers or food, the family would welcome a donation to the American Diabetes Association in Mike's name. Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Saints Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382. Visitation will take place at the Church, starting at 10:30 A.M. There will be a Funeral Mass starting at 11:30 A.M. There will be a reception after the Mass at a nearby location to be determined.
