Mr. Michael E. Hoit

Michael E. Hoit, 75, of Malone and Pinellas Park, FL died unexpectedly on Monday, June 24, 2024 at his home.
Born on April 2, 1949 in Montreal, Quebec, he was the son of Edward and Mary (Nolan) Hoit.
Mike graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, Malone and Paul Smith's College. He was employed as a salesman at Elliot and Hutchins, Dwyer's Home Improvement for 30 years, Sample Lumber and later retired from Triple A Lumber.
He was very active and enjoyed running, bicycling and skiing. He was also an antique collector, EMT, photographer and skilled carpenter.
Mike enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his wife, Maggie and close friends, traveling the world with his wife, watching sports on tv, fine dining, cooking, photo editing and afternoon naps.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Maggie" Huet of 24 years; three children, Laurie Morfe and her husband, Frank of Oakland, MD, Edward Hoit and his partner, Marcy Dow of Chateaugay, NY, Joshua Hoit of San Diego, CA; two step-children, Marcel Huet and his wife, Nathalie Cheyney, Johanne Huet; grandchildren, Kelsey Wallace of Chateaugay, NY, Alex Hoit of Springfield, MA, Christopher and Nicolas, Morfe of Oakland, MD; step-grandchildren, Roxanne Huet and her husband, Marc-Antoine Lambert, Kimberly Huet and her husband, Cederic C. Beauregard, Steven Huet Lazure; great-grandchildren, Wilder and Hutton Huggins of Chateaugay, NY; step-great-grandchildren, Mathew and Eliott Lambert, Milan Beauregard Huet; a sister-in-law, Marita Hoit of Duane, NY.
He was predeceased by his parents;three siblings, Jim Hoit and Charles and Judith Hoit, both in infancy.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
