Michael A Holt

Michael A. Holt, 82 of Abilene passed away February 9, 2025. He was born June 5, 1942 in Abilene, the son of Elzie and Lyda (Parsons) Holt. He grew up in the Abilene area and attended the local schools. On January 14, 1962 he married his high school sweet heart Patricia Schmidt in Abilene at the First Baptist Church. Mike worked various jobs throughout his life including Turkey Farm, Dry wall, Boogaarts Produce, owned and operated Holt Motors Inc. for 30 years as well as Northwood Inc. from 1994 to present. Mike is survived by his loving wife Pat of the home. Two daughters: Pamela (Bob) Sims and Angela (Mike) Wehling. Granddaughter: Tara (Kalen) Robison. Grandsons: Cody (Amanda) Sims; Bradley (Emily) Wehling; Nicholas (Angie) Wehling and Jonathan (McKenna) Wehling. Great-Grandsons: Austin Tweady; Kipton Robison; Charlie Wehling. Great-Granddaughters: Macy Wehling; Riley Wehling and Rudie Wehling and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie and Lyda Holt. Father and mother-in-law William and Betty Schmidt. Great-Granddaughter Tenleigh Robison and Great-Grandson Tripp Robison. Sister-in-law Linda Morton and brother-in-law Darrell Wiley. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Farmington Cemetery. Friends may come by Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home anytime before to sign the guest book. The family suggests memorial be given to the Dickinson County Pheasants Forever or Dickinson County Home Health and Hospice.
