Michael Eugene Hoskins

Michael Eugene Hoskins, aged 72, of Gaines, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born in Flint, Michigan, on July 24, 1953, to his parents, Robert Hoskins and Geraldine Hoskins. He attended Durand High School until his junior year, where he then attended and graduated from Byron High School before continuing his education at Mott Community College.
Michael married the love of his life, Leane, on July 14, 1973, at the Gaines Methodist Church. They shared 52 beautiful years together and had three amazing children.
A true handyman, Michael was always tinkering around and finding things to repair, especially cars and engines. He was an avid reader and was devout in his faith. Michael was passionate about studying the bible, which he did nearly every day. He enjoyed playing golf, tennis, euchre with friends, and watching hockey, especially the Detroit Red Wings. He answered when his children called and was willing to talk about any subject. He was well learned and knew something about so many things. Michael loved his family and friends. He was the kind of person you could count on if help was needed. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Leane Hoskins; children, Stacy (Jonathan) Beltz, Kent Hoskins, and Gina (Matthew) Erickson; and 8 cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's name to the National Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
