Michael Dale Howerin

Michael Dale Howerin was born on February 14, 1974.
He left this earth to be with his Savior on July 30, 2024 at the age of 50.
As a youth he enjoyed skateboarding, freestyle biking and swimming with the Tarboro Swim Club. He played center and middle linebacker for the Martin Middle, Tarboro High Junior Varsity and Varsity Vikings.
He graduated as part of the Tarboro High School Class of 1992.
After high school, he attended Edgecombe Community College where he received an Auto Body repair certification. He spent 30 years in several locations in Tarboro, Rocky Mount and Greenville as automotive painting specialist. For the last 11 years, he was a proud member of the team at Doug Henry Ford in Tarboro.
He was an accomplished artist who excelled in colored pencils, Collector of toys and memorabilia, Star Wars enthusiast and a fan of all things Disney. His most recent passion was reclaiming and restoring old bicycles and donating them to youth in need. He was a lover of dogs, but his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his nieces.
Dale was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Campbell Howerin and his nephew, Emmanuel Peter Howerin. He is survived by his father, William Lee "Bill" Howerin, his brother, William Lee Howerin, Jr., sister-in-law, Karen Hively-Howerin and nieces Jessa Jean and Michaela Dawn Howerin.
Visitation will be held from 1 – 2 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 3150 Western Blvd, Tarboro, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2pm.
