Michael S Hrabovsky

Michael Stephen Paul Hrabovsky, 76, of Wallington, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Born on December 3, 1948, Michael was the youngest of four children of the late John and Mary (Martin) Hrabovsky of Clifton, NJ. He began his career at just 16 years old, quickly building a large and loyal following that remained with him for over 30 years. Even after taking on a full-time position as a warehouse manager, he continued to share his passion for haircutting as a part-time barber.

A devoted and loving husband and father, Michael leaves behind his beloved wife, Lynne (née Kearney); his daughter, Larissa Pizzulli, and her husband, Matthew; and his cherished granddaughter, Bella. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his three siblings: Lorraine Molter, Patricia Cangelosi, and John "Butch" Hrabovsky.

Michael dedicated many years of his career as a coordinator for ABC Supply Co. in Riverdale, NJ, where he was known for his reliability, kindness, and steady work ethic. Prior to that, and throughout much of his life, he shared his warmth and talent as a barber at Luigi's Total Cuts in Rutherford. Affectionately known to many as "Haircut Mike," he built lasting friendships from behind his barber chair and made everyone who sat in it feel welcome.

Beyond his work, Michael loved to cook, to fish, and-more than anything-to spend his vacation time each year in Aruba, a place that brought him and Lynne immense joy.

Michael will be remembered for his generous spirit, his easygoing nature, and the genuine care he showed to family, friends, coworkers, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3rd, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford, NJ.

Final disposition was private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's honor to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718.
