Michael Lynn Hudson, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 57. He was born on September 21, 1968, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Lora Jane (Woods) Hudson , adopted by Lloyd Hudson, Jr.
Michael began his life in Ardmore, Oklahoma, later living in El Reno before his family settled in Yukon in 1973. He spent his school years in Yukon, where he attended Yukon Public Schools. After high school, he continued his education at Francis Tuttle Vocational School and Oklahoma City Community College, focusing his studies on electrical work.
With a strong sense of duty and service, Michael enlisted in the US Army , Oklahoma National Guard, where he proudly served for six years and earned the distinguished title of Expert Shorter. His career as an electrician began in 1993 with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). In 1997, he became a journeyman electrician and obtained his contractor’s license. In 2011, Michael founded his own business, H.E.S. LLC, which he operated for nearly 15 years before returning to the IBEW.
Michael was known for his warm personality and generous heart. He never met a stranger and could light up any room with his smile, stories, and quick wit. He loved helping others and was always ready with a joke or a helping hand. His happiest moments were spent outdoors—riding ATVs, hunting, shooting and fishing—especially when sharing those times with his family.
On February 18, 1989, Michael married the love of his life, Florance Elizabeth Bailey. Together, they built a loving home in Yukon and shared 36 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they had three children, Mica, Johnnie, and Destiny. Of all the roles he held in life, his favorite was being a grandfather, lovingly known as “Pappy.” His granddaughter, his little princess, was the joy of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Hudson Jr. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Florance Elizabeth Hudson; his son, Johnnie Hudson and his wife, Janessa; two daughters, Mica Hudson and Destiny Hudson and her fiancé, Genesis Owens; his beloved granddaughter, Scarlett Hudson; his mother Lora Jane (Woods) Hudson his brother, Eddie Hudson and his wife, Holly; his sister, Misty Boylan and her husband, Kenny; nieces and nephews, Zac Hudson and Jelena, Ashley Hudson, Andy Hudson and Cayla, Brandon Hudson and Ambrosia, and Kynsi Hudson; along with a host of extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
