Without knowing it,Mike and the rest of The Marauders, inspired me to set my course on a performing career. I was only 14 and there were only two places which I could see them. The Whitehall Skating Rink and The Hut in Jacksonville. He was a natural performer and had a fabulous voice. Thanks for the inspiration Bro! RIP.

Condolences
Micheal was a member of
Charlie Battery 6th/27th field Artillery. Combat Veteran of the Vietnam War.
A fire mission blew his guitar up and the guys chipped in and bought him new Yamaha!
We loved his music.

I Went to JHS with Mike & Randy, Class of 1968. As an early "Roadie?", I took Mike to the Bluffs American Legion (I had a CAR) for several performances of "The Marauders"! They were a Trio, & Mike was the Star. Great vocals, along with instrumentation, & he did it all by "Ear"! I saw him perform with "Joyelegg", in the early 70's, he was as great as ever; always thought he could've been a Star. I last saw Mike, in the 80's, when he, coincidently, lived just off the same rural road, where my Uncle, had lived! Once I knew he dealt in the Arts & Crafts, I was never able to make contact with him, or witness his talent, that I am Sure, was on display - just as it was in his musical performances, I witnessed, those many years ago. I hope my memories of Mike will help his family cope with their loss. Our memories keep them alive in our hearts. My condolences to his Family & Friends. Virgil Martin
