It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Patrick Ide II. Born on the 16th of September 1954 in Lansing, MI. Michael was a beloved father, friend, and an unforgettable character in the lives of many.
Michael was an embodiment of dedication, hard work, and service, qualities that shone through his professional life as an electrician at General Electric. His work ethic was matched only by his zest for life and his pursuit of passions. Michael had an unrivaled love for country music, a genre that often wafted from his home in
Lansing, Michigan. He was a skilled harmonica player, and his impromptu performances were a joy to all who were lucky enough to hear them. His love for the outdoors was evident in his love for fishing, where he often boasted about his "catching", and his farming of chickens was more than just a hobby; it was a testament to his caring nature. Michael also proudly served in the United States Construction Battalions, better known as the Navy Seabees. Above all, Michael cherished time spent with his family and friends, and adored his grandchildren in a measure that words can hardly express.
Michael Ide II is survived by his wife Joyce Friend, his sons Timothy Ide and Jacob Ide, his daughters Jessica Dickie, and Michelle "Cookie" Moran, mother Janice Telling and his sisters Debra Kranas, Dee Bernardi and Marcie Posma. Michael is also survived by his grandchildren: Zavier Goedect, Timothy Ide II, Kaiden and Kingston Pressel, and Anthony and Amare McCloud. In addition, he is survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Finally, he is survived by his friends Ricky Jones and Deanna and his cherished dogs, Mollie B and Jaxson. His first wife Opal Ide, his father Michael Ide, and his brother Timothy Ide preceded him in death. Michael's memory lives on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him, filled with stories of his incredible life, his captivating laugh, and his unwavering kindness.
Michael's life was a testament to the power of love, the importance of family, and the joy that can be found in every moment.
