Havelock
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Angel Iorizzo, who left us unexpectedly on September 16, 2024, at the age of 18. Mikey, a recent Havelock High School graduate, was excited to start his college journey at Carteret Community College, filled with dreams and aspirations that inspired those around him.
Mikey's radiant smile and infectious laughter could light up any room. He had a unique gift for making people feel loved and cared for, always going out of his way for family and friends. His kindness and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Throughout his life, Mikey embraced every moment with enthusiasm and joy. Whether he was spending time with family, playing video games with his brothers, or working, he approached each day with a zest for life that was truly inspiring.
Mikey is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Candida Vazquez and paternal grandfather, Michele (Miguel) Iorizzo.
A celebration of Mikey's life will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Havelock High School, 101 Webb Blvd, Havelock, NC 28532.
Mikey is survived by his loving parents, Elizabeth and Daniel Iorizzo; his younger brothers, Matthew and Marcus; his grandparents; and a host of friends who will forever remember his unwavering spirit.
Though his time with us was far too brief, Mikey's legacy of love, laughter, and joy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
