Michael Lynn Jackson, 74, Greentown, passed away at 10:30pm, Monday, January 11, 2016, at Century Villa Health Care in Greentown. He was born February 26, 1941, in Kokomo, to Wilbur and Jeanette (Kurtz) Jackson. On December 31, 1961 he married Saundra Jeane (Bailey) Jackson. Mike graduated from Eastern High School in 1959 and started a life of farming. He retired from farming in 2007. He was a Greentown Lions Club member since March of 1964 and served on the Howard County Fair Board. He had an interest in Oliver tractors and was a member of the Hart-Parr Oliver Collectors Association. Mike loved the Lord and lived his life of faith through quiet service to others.
Survivors include his wife Sandy; son, Mark and wife Barb Jackson of Kokomo; daughter, Kathy and husband Marcello Abbruzzetti of Washington D.C.; sister, Carolyn and husband Roger Johnson of Greentown. He dearly loved and was proud of his grandchildren, Brittany and husband Chris Hagerty, Kevin Jackson, and Michael Abbruzzetti.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster Street, with Pastor Jeff Newton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown. Visitation will be held from 10:00am - 1:00pm Friday, three hours prior to the service at the mortuary. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Greentown Lions, Round Barn Fund. Envelopes will be provided at the mortuary.
