Michael Jeffry Jaeger passed away January 22, 2024.
Michael attended Winnetonka High School in Kansas City. He and Lisa Dummermuth entered into marriage with the best of intentions however it was less permanent than expected. Both went on to co-parent exceptional children. Michael had a very entrepreneurial spirit, leading him to open his own photography studio, Captured Moments. When he moved on from owning his studio, he managed a couple different photo finishing stores for Ritz Camera, and CPI Photo Finishing. After leaving the photo industry Michael attended Park University where he earned his English degree, and nearly finished a degree in Psychology. With Michael’s immense knowledge he went on to be a caregiver and advocate of special needs people, specifically with autism. Michael had a passion for helping people. He had many accomplishments of helping those he served throughout his career.
Michael lived life as a student of life… his desire for knowledge was strong and he was always eager to learn. He loved his family with his whole being and was known to his grandchildren as “Papa”. Time with family was spent playing games, watching Chiefs games, playing pool, fishing, and playing chess were a few of the favorites. Anything his family was doing, Michael wanted to be doing. He enjoyed attending the events of his grandchildren from sports games, band concerts, and gymnastic meets, and school events; he loved being a part of it all. He was always sure to bring his camera to capture the moments of his family. Michael loved music; he held an appreciation for all types. One of his favorite connections to music was watching is brother’s band play.
