Michael James

MICHAEL JAMES was born on May 01, 1963. He departed this life on April 09, 2025. Michael was the second child of eight children, born to Emma Mae James, father- Sylvester O'Neal. Michael suffered the tragedy of losing his left eye sight at the age of 3 and losing his Mother at the age of 7. Upon the death of his Mother in 1970, Micheal was raised by his Maternal Aunt- Mattie Bell McRae, who was affectionately and instinctively called "Mat".
Upon moving to Linden, Michael attended Sunday School and Church at Morning Star Holiness Church, ( Morning Star Community Church) under the leadership of the Late Bishop Irving Evans, Senior. Later in life he joined the Trinity Seventh Day Advent Church in Newark, New Jersey
Michael was educated in the Linden Public School System in Linden, New Jersey. He graduated from Linden High School in 1981.
Micheal worked at the Sheraton Hotel, Newark, NJ, during and after high school.
He was preceded in death by Mother Emma Mae James, Grandmother Flora Louella Payne James, Cousin Carol Fraselius, Brother Charles James, Sister Theresa James, Sister Patricia Raines,
He is survived by four sisters, Louella Longshore ( Walter) of Linden, NJ, Valerie James of Newark, NJ, Elaine James of Arnold PA, Elizabeth James ( Idamiz) of Colonia, NJ. Cousin Todd McRae of Bath, New York, Maternal Aunt Arnita McLain of Uvalda, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
