Funeral services for Michael Jefcoat, 68, a beloved father, brother, and grandfather of Ashland, MS will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home in Greenville. There will be a visitation from 1:00 until service time. He passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Burial will be in the Indianola City Cemetery.
He was born on March 29, 1955, to Zell Frances Norquist Jefcoat and Leroy Homer Jefcoat. Mike spent his younger years in Rosedale, MS, where he was active in all sports. He moved to Indianola, MS, and graduated from Indianola Academy.
Mike spent his career working with all things horses and cars. He married Sharon Williams, and they raised a family with three children.
Mike spent most of his nights and weekends on the softball field coaching his daughter, Monica. He spent his later years in North Mississippi.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind Sharon Jefcoat; his daughters, Sherry (Tim) Fayard and Monica (Boo) Ellis and his son, Marvin (Cindy) Williams; sister, Debra Bowers; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
