Michael T. Jenkins

Funeral Service for Michael T. Jenkins, 63, of Montrose, AR will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, South Freeman Street, Dermott; Rev. Lawrence A. Glover, Pastor; Rev. Lukan Hargraves, Officiating Minister.

Michael was born on August 16, 1961 to Earnest Jenkins and Patsy Ruth Colbert in Hamburg, Arkansas. He attended and graduated from Dermott High School. His church affiliation was with First Missionary Baptist Church, Dermott; Rev. Lawrence Glover, Pastor.

Michael work career was with Sunflower Groceries, Dermott and he retired from Agriliance (Portland Gin Company) Portland, AR. He enjoyed entertaining.

Michael passed away at his home on July 22, 2025. He is survived by one daughters, Sharrie Jenkins of Fort Smith, AR and Nakia Dantzler Nelson (daughter-in-law),of Dermott, AR; two grandchildren; three siblings, Valerie Burkley and Constance Lemons of Milwaukee, WI, and Ricky Colbert (Shennell) of St. Louis, MO; and his special friend, Alsenia Wilson of Montrose, AR, and Special Aunt Christine Jones of Dermott, AR. He is preceded in death by one son, Quintin A. Nelson and two siblings, Vanessa Colbert and Mitchell Jenkins.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday from 6-7 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home, 111 North Freeman Street, Dermott, AR.

Burial will take place at Davis Cemetery, Dermott. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 111 North Freeman Street, Dermott.
