Earn David Scott was born in Portland, Arkansas, to the late Wallace and Mamie (Willis) Scott. Heaccepted Christ early in life and was a devoted member of Church Alive in McGehee, Arkansas.
In 1964, he graduated from Tillis High School in Portland, AR. Then, Mr. Scott left Portland to pursue higher education at Arkansas Agricultural, Mechanical and Normal College, now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanics in 1968.
Sergeant Earn David Scott faithfully and honorably served his country for more than twenty-five years in the United States Army and the Army National Guard. Answering the call of duty with courage, discipline, and integrity, he completed multiple tours of service, including honorable service during the Persian Gulf War. Throughout his distinguished military career, Sergeant Scott was the recipient of numerous commendations and awards, reflecting his unwavering commitment to excellence, leadership, and the defense of freedom. His service stands as a lasting testament to his character, patriotism, and devotion to the principles of honor and duty. In recognition of his faithful service to our nation, military honors will be rendered in accordance with United States military tradition. These honors serve as a final salute and expression of gratitude from a grateful nation for a life lived in service and sacrifice.
