Michael J. Johnson, age 69, of Arcadia, FL, formerly of Green Bay, WI, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, after a long illness. Born on January 1, 1956, in Green Bay, Mikey will always be remembered for his infectious optimism and warm, hearty laugh that could brighten any gathering. Friends and family could always count on him to greet them with a smile, bring levity to every conversation, and leave them feeling lighter just for having spoken with him. Fishing was Mikey's greatest passion. Some of his happiest days were spent on the water with his brother, Bill. The two shared more than just the sport-they shared a bond built on stories, laughter, and quiet moments side by side. Whether celebrating a good catch or simply enjoying the peace of a still lake, those times together were among Mikey's most treasured memories, and they will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Mikey had a special way of lifting people up. He spoke often and fondly of his family and friends, always offering words of encouragement and wishing the best for everyone around him. His kindness, positivity, and genuine love for life touched all who knew him. Mikey is survived by his devoted wife, Vicky; his son, Jeremy; his brother, Bill Johnson, and sister-in-law, Karen; his sisters, Patricia Stier, Mary Benson, and brother-in-law William, Lynn Lenth, and brother-in-law Ed; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace M. Johnson and Joyce M. (Ridgley) Johnson, as well as his sisters, Carol Willems and Barbara DeRuyter. There will be no formal service, but Mikey's family invites everyone who knew him to remember him in their own way-perhaps with a smile, a good laugh, or a quiet moment by the water. His family will miss him deeply and cherish the light he brought into their lives.
