Michael Jones Obituary
Michael "Mike" Jones, 49, passed away peacefully at his home on December 27, 2025 surrounded by loved ones after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Mike was a fearless adventurer that fought cancer the way he lived life, on his terms.
Mike was born on October 1, 1976 in Standish, Michigan, and lived in AuGres his entire life. He was a beloved husband, father, papa, uncle, brother, and friend. He was a laborer and multifaceted tradesmen. He could fix or build anything. Mike had a passion for the outdoors and loved all things in nature including hunting, fishing, gardening, as well as hunting for mushrooms and rocks. He treasured family time and creating memories with those he loved.
Surviving are his caring wife Ashley of 18 years, his four children Mikaila Morgan (Brennen Badour), Seth, Levi and Barrett, his two grandchildren Gracie Mae and Wesley, Mike's father Ken Jones, and Mike's brothers Jason (Christina) and Matthew (Kimberly), his Aunt Sherry Dittenbir, cousins Crystal Dittenbir (Josh Gordon), Randy (Adrianne) Dittenbir and several other special cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cherished friends.
In lieu of a memorial service, Mike's wishes were for everyone to go out and make memories! Go hunting and bag the monster buck, fish till you catch your limit, search for all the rocks and arrowheads. Go for a hike in the woods and reach the mountain top. In these adventures he will be with you.
Mike was predeceased by his mother Diane Jones, his Uncle Randy Dittenbir and grandmother Patricia O'Connor.
