Michael Joseph Victor Boggio Obituary

Michael J V Boggio, Sr. "Bogs", 63 of Windsor passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Mike grew up in Windsor, raised his family in Windsor, and from an early age formed many, many life-long friendships which he maintains to this day. He graduated from Windsor High School where he played sports and was a member of the 1979 Class LL State Championship Baseball Team. He was a proud Teamster and spent over 35 years as a driver for HDI in Manchester before retiring in 2022. In retirement Mike was all about living life. Whether snow birding in Florida or a quick weekend trip in CT, he enjoyed camping near and far with Ginger and Camper Cat in their 5th Wheel. He enjoyed poker night with the boys and going to the casino. His favorite thing to do was treat friends and family to dinner when he racked up points on his MGM card. But his true passion was golf. As a buddy of his recently said, "I don't know of too many people who love the game of golf more than Mike". When he wasn't watching golf, he was playing golf. He was a member of Keney Park and one of the original members of the Keney Park Men's Golf League. Keney Park was his 2nd home and the guys his 2nd family. His big booming presence will be sorely missed by all the guys at Keney. From the tremendous outpouring of love and support the family has received it is clear that Mike leaves many broken-hearted people to mourn his loss. Besides his wife of 15 years Ginger (Gough) Boggio he leaves his son Michael JV Boggio Jr. and his fiancée Jessica Kuzmickas of Suffield, his daughter Sarah Boggio of Windsor and his grandchildren McKenzie Boggio and Michael J Boggio III. His siblings, Elizabeth Boggio-Visone and her husband Anthony of Windsor, Riccardo Boggio of E. Hartford and Matthew Boggio and his wife Laura of Mystic. His nieces and nephews, Anthony Jr., Briana, Ricky, Austin and Mia. His in-laws, Chip and Jane Gough, Harry and Barbara Gough, Bert and Lia Gough, Tina and Dennis Gagne, Sandy Gough and Steven Gough. Mike was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Riccardo Boggio Sr. and his sister Diane Boggio. The family will receive friends Monday, July 21, 2025, from 3p-7p at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Rd, Windsor, CT. In honor of Mike's love for golf, please wear golf attire if you have it. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the Boggio Grandchildren's College Fund payable to Comtrust FCU, mailed to Comtrust FCU, Po Box 648, Windsor, CT 06095.
