Michael J "Mike" Jurosic

Michael J. "Mike" Jurosic, 73, of Wapakoneta, died 2:53 p.m., Fri. May 23, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1951, in Lima, OH, the son of Robert & Elinor (Fisher) Jurosic, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 26, 1974, he married Judy Meyer, who survives.

Other survivors include 2 children, Darla (Nick) Bender, Anna, Darren Jurosic, Wapakoneta, 4 grandchildren, Lainie Jurosic, Madilyn Bender, Kendall Bender, Wyatt Jurosic, 4 siblings, Nick (Marie) Jurosic, Wapakoneta, Steve (Evelyn) Jurosic, Botkins, Clara (Bruce) Zwiebel, Spencerville, Louise (Mike) Symonds, Jackson Center, In-laws Marlene (John) Fridley, Jan (Pete) Snider, Barbara (Ed) Kissinger.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Bill Jurosic, and in-laws, Urban and Vera Meyer.

Mike retired from PSC Crane Rigging, Piqua, after 36 years. He graduated from Botkins High School in 1969 and later from Edison State College, with an Associate's Degree. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg, and the Wapakoneta Eagles #691. Mike enjoyed woodworking, tinkering around the farm and in the barn, motorcycle rides, spending time outdoors, deer hunting and mushroom hunting. He loved spending time with family, giving the grandchildren bucket rides in the tractor and going to their activities, and going to Las Vegas with Judy. Mike, always a generous person, gave the ultimate gift following his death, the gift of life through organ, eye, and tissue donation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2025, at the St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg, officiated by Fr. Sean Wilson. Burial is to follow in the St. John Cemetery, Fryburg. Family and friends may call 4-8 p.m., Thurs., and 9-10 a.m., Friday, at the Eley Funeral Home and Crematory, State Route 501, Wapakoneta.
