Michael S Karipides

Michael S. Karipides, 65, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2023. He was born August 21, 1957, in Akron, son of, the late, Sam and Earline Karipides. He was a graduate of Coventry High School and Youngstown State University where he played Basketball for the Penguins. Mike was employed by Myers Industry. Mike loved to read, travel, and watch all sports, but his greatest joy was being a husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play hockey, soccer, and cheer, he supported them in every way.
Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister-in law, Cindy Karipides; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Walter and Barbara Kress.
Survivors include his loving wife, Susie, to whom he was married to for forty-one wonderful years; children, Megan (Ryan) Laatsch, Dan (Jessica) Karipides; six grandchildren; brother, John (Betty) Karipides; brothers-in-law, Mike (Karen) Kress, Steve (Debbie) Kress and sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth (Joe) Hepler; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11am at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (127 Cherry Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646) with Rev. Mark E. Kreemer officiating.
