Michael Stanley Kaszynski

Michael Stanley Kaszynski, 74, of Casco Township, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.
He was born in Detroit, April 10, 1947, the son of the late Frank G. and Celia H. (Wrubel) Kaszynski.
His marriage to Regina "Gina" Magdan was January 25, 1969, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Detroit.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army, 1966 thru 1968, in Vietnam 1967-1968. He was a member of the former VFW Post in Berville and the American Legion Post 566. Michael was also involved with the Canadian Legion Honor Guard.
Michael worked for General Motors until he retired in 2002. He enjoyed drag racing, was a mechanic in a Top Fuel Funny Car crew, and owned his own dragster. He enjoyed traveling and visiting with friends and family wherever he went. Family was the most important thing to him. He loved spending time with his grandkids and was there whenever he was needed. Michael was a great conversationalist and always had a great sense of humor and loved a good shuffle.
Michael is survived by Gina, his wife of 52 years; two children, Michael (Stephanie) Kaszynski of Casco and Jennifer (Roy) Andersen of Casco; two grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew; two siblings, Frank Kaszynski of Detroit and Marcy (Greg) Gumbel of Florida, as well as a niece, Michelle.
The family honors the memory of Michael and invites you to visit and share memories Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Rosary services will be Monday at 6:30 p.m. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Fr. Steve Mateja will officiate. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, November 3rd, 2021, at 10:30 a.m.
