Michael Patrick Kellum

Michael Patrick Kellum, 42, of Brownwood, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Michael was born September 1, 1983 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was educated in Brownwood and lived locally. He was smart, very tech savvy, loved computer gaming, and enjoyed sports, history, and cooking. Michael was a doer who had little patience for mean or divisive people and great patience and generosity for those he cared about. He was strong, fair, practical and always working on how to improve things. Michael was protective of others and the first to help out a friend. He is loved by those who were lucky enough to know him.

Michael is survived by his mother, Paula Kellum of Brownwood; father, Keith Kellum and his family of Alexander, AR; a half-brother, Zachary Kellum of Arkansas; aunts, Carol Gillespie of Liberty Hill, Texas, Vicki Koon of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Cheryn Terry of Jacksonville, Arkansas; uncles, George Stimson and his wife Kathleen of Harrison, Arkansas, Keith Stimson of Lavergne, Tennessee, Ron Kellum and his family of New York; and many cousins in Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Colorado and California; as well as family member Sophie, the cat.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margie & Tom Stimson, Mack & Sybil Kellum; great grandparents, Reatha McCommons and Julius McCommons and Tom Stimson Sr.; cousin, Carolee Smithee and his four-legged friends, Buck, Smokey and Susie.
