Michael Kempinger

Michael John Kempinger, age 60, passed away on December 19, 2025. He was born on February 16, 1965, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised in Roy, Utah, which he always considered home, and later lived for a time in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Michael attended Roy High School, where he developed a love of football and made lifelong friends. He went on to play football in college, demonstrating dedication, discipline, and a strong sense of teamwork. A devoted sports fan, Michael was especially passionate about the Green Bay Packers and rarely missed a game. Football season brought him great joy and was something he loved sharing with family and friends.

Michael was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his faith was an important part of his life. He lived with compassion, kindness, and a strong sense of care for others.

Above all else, Michael loved his family. He also had a deep affection for animals and was known for his gentle and caring nature. Those who knew him will remember him as loyal, thoughtful, and devoted.

Michael is survived by his sister, Linda (Norm) Taylor; his nephew, Solo (Malia) Taylor; and his niece, Jet Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his father, John F. Kempinger; his mother, Jean Kempinger; his brother, Ross Kempinger; and his sister, Patricia Mougey.
