Mike was born on July 8, 1991 in Boca Raton, FL to Katrine and Michael before the family moved to Illinois in the mid-1990s. Mike graduated from Wheaton North High School in 2009.
Mike was a man of many interests and hobbies who was always chasing new ideas and adventures. He helped his dad with his business and he loved spending time out on Lake Michigan and playing with big toys such as his motorcycle and ATV.
His smile and laugh would light up any room and he could befriend anyone in any new environment. He had a heart of gold and leaves a hole in the lives of his family and friends that will be impossible to fill.
Mike is survived by his parents, Katrine and Michael, his step-parents George and Karen, his sister Kaitlyn (Luke), his two nephews and his beloved dog Ollie.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 13, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home at 435 North York St in Elmhurst, IL.
In lieu of flowers, his family respectfully requests donations be made in memory of Mike to NAMI Chicago.

I met Mike through my stepson, Matt. Mike & I shared many interesting conversations, he was a HUGE Blessing in some dark moments. Wise beyond his years. Shine like a Unicorn
