Marian V. Kiernan, 88, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she settled in Toms River, NJ in 1968 to raise her family.
She was a cherished Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Friend to all who knew her, she was an avid Yankees fan, and a dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church in Toms River, NJ.
Marian is reunited in Heaven with her son Gerald C. Kiernan, Jr., her parents Peter J., Sr, and Catherine (Hanley) Breen, and her brother Peter J. Breen, Jr.
She will be forever held and cherished in the hearts of her beloved family: her husband and soulmate of over 70 years, Gerald "Jerry" C. Kiernan, daughter Cathy and her husband Don Ridge, son Timothy Kiernan, son Peter and his wife Pam Kiernan, son Daniel and his wife Lois Kiernan, son William Kiernan, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a wealth of extended family and friends all of whom she adored.
The family will receive relatives and friends to celebrate Marian's life on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 3pm to 7pm at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 10am at St. Joseph RC Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ. Interment will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery, 80 Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, in memory of Marian.
