Michael Lynn Kissel Age 69 of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away on January 2, 2024 at his home. He was born on March 7, 1954 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Isaac and Betty (Ulmer) Kissel. He owned and operated Kissel Towing and Salvage and later was a courier for Liberty Title Company. Michael enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, spending holidays with them, camping and fishing, and picking them up from school. He also enjoyed watching westerns and Husker football. He had competed in tractor pulls with his cousin, loved his dogs, and liked to tinker in the backyard fixing things.
Michael was kind hearted and always willing to help people.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Diane Benedict.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Elisabeth; children, Angela Wier, Patricia Wier, Michael Wier and Timothy Betten (Chelsey); 14-grandchildren; sisters, Connie Surber-Kissel and Christina Kissel; brother, Isaac Kissel and many other family and friends.
Memorial Service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2024 with Visitation 1hr prior at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home.
