Michael Knox Obituary

Michael A. Knox Michael Allen Knox, age 60, of Elkton, MD, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Born in Elkton on July 27, 1954, he was the son of Mary Lou Preston Knox, Elkton, MD, and the late Hugh T. Knox. Mr. Knox was manager of frozen foods at the Food Lion in Elkton. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Elkton, and the NRA. Mr. Knox enjoyed fishing, bowling, riding his Harley and watching NHRA drag racing. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sharon Tichnell Knox; children, Christopher Knox and wife, Katina, Melissa Knox and companion, A.J. Smith, and Kurt Knox and companion, Heather Tharp, all of Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Zachary, Naomi, Allen, Ryan, Anthony, Ethan and Aubrey; and siblings, Thomas L. Knox, Marie Andersen and husband, Jim, Theresa Cornell and husband, Dale, Lisa Knox-Sadler, all of Elkton, MD, and Deborah Rickert and husband, Kelly, Waldorf, MD. In addition to his father, Mr. Knox was preceded in death by his son, Brian Knox. Prayer service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2015, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
